Abstract:In this study, the transmission frequency dependence of the random waveguide, which is the waveguide having a randomly corrugated boundary, on waveguide length is investigated using an accurate numerical method. While resonances in the low-frequency region are caused by the interference among the dominant modes, those in the high-frequency region are caused by the mode conversion from the dominant mode to the second mode.
