Abstract:Molecular mass determinations for the four lipoxygenase isoenzymes from soybean seeds were compared using two mass spectrometrical (MS) techniques as well as gel permeation chromatography and sodium dodecylsulphate‐polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The data obtained by MS techniques were in good agreement with the molecular masses evaluated from the corresponding cDNA. The MS techniques allowed to distinguish between the lipoxygenase isoenzymes and to check the purity of enzyme preparations.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
