Abstract: Schizophrenia is a common neuropsychiatric disorder with a lifetime risk of 1%. A number of large scale genome wide association studies have identified numerous individual risk single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) whose precise roles in schizophrenia remain unknown.
