Accounting for cardiovascular risk when prescribing NSAIDs

Abstract: It is now recognised that oral NSAIDs can increase the risk of cardiovascular events, including myocardial infarction and stroke. This article discusses the potential mechanisms involved and how the risk can be minimised.
