Abstract:Haemodialysis that involves diffusion of solutes across a semi-permeable membrane allows excretion of harmful solutes and excess fluids. All dialysis machines are disinfected by chemical agents (e.g. sodium hypochlorite, formaldehyde, glutaraldehyde, peroxyacetic acid).
