Accidental Carbon Monoxide Poisonings in Adana, Turkey: A 14-year Study

Abstract: Aim: Carbon monoxide (CO) is often referred to as the "silent killer" because its victims cannot see it, smell it or taste it. CO is responsible for a large percentage of the accidental poisonings and deaths reported throughout the world. CO poisoning therefore is considered a serious global health threat.
