Acceptation of the Developed Mobile Virtual Reality Visualisations of 3D Objects from the Area of the Silk Road

Abstract: The paper presents a process of testing a created virtual reality application for displaying the "Hujra", a room for students of the 17th century madrassa in the area of the Silk Road, together with interactive objects. The designed 3D objects had sufficiently small file sizes to be introduced into virtual reality, and the fully mobile application worked effectively using smartphones within the price group available to the average user. The application was presented to a group of students and researchers from … Show more

“…There are many problems at different levels of abstraction that can affect the performance of VR applications. 27 The process of creating a virtual museum in a VR world may be an example of it. While the application is launched on a computer or laptop and the image is sent to a smartphone, you can encounter many problems such as delays, image quality issues, lack of stable internet connectivity and device limitations.…”

“…By applying this framework to the study of Metaverse tourism, we shed light on how tourists' attributions of their virtual experiences influence their evaluations, satisfaction, and future engagement [22] with Silk Road cultural heritage. This understanding can inform the design, development, and management of Metaverse [23] applications so as to optimize their impact on cultural tourism promotion and sustainable development along the Silk Roads [24][25][26]. This is a mixed-methods study combining surveys and semi-structured interviews with Silk Road tourists who have been exposed to Metaverse applications (see Table S1).…”
