Acceptance sampling plans under two-parameter Quasi Shanker distribution assuring mean life with an application to manufacturing data

Abstract: The acceptance sampling plan (ASP) is a statistical tool used in industry for quality control to determine the quality of products by selecting a specified number for testing in order to accept or reject the lot. The main objective is to develop a new ASP based on truncated life tests assuming that the lifetime follows the two parameters Quasi Shanker distribution, since this distribution showed its superiority in providing a better model for some applications than the exponential distribution. The ASP steps a… Show more

“…For the distribution parameter , the minimum sample sizes that are satisfying (6) are listed in Table 1. According to Kantam and Rosaiah (2001), Baklizi (2003), andAl-Omari et al (2021), the same values are taken into consideration.…”

“…Isık and Kaya (2021) assumed SASP according to interval type-2 fuzzy sets. Al-Omari et al (2021) suggested SASP under a two-parameter Quasi Shanker distribution insuring mean life with an application to industrial data. On the basis of the transmuted Rayleigh distribution, Saha et al (2021) provided single and double acceptance sampling designs for truncated life tests.…”

“…In these studies, the common factor is that, at least one of the parameters is a scale parameter. Few of these on truncated life tests are Singh et al (1) proposed the sampling plans considering the quality parameter as the mean lifetime of the test unit for generalised Pareto distribution with one scale parameter out the three parameters, Al-Omari et al (2) proposed the sample plans with the assumption that the population mean as quality standard with one shape and one scale parameter Quasi Shanker distribution. Amjad D et al (3) developed population mean based sampling plans for Tsallis q-exponential distribution that has one shape and one real parameter, some studies suggested that sampling plans using the mean cannot meet the necessity of the process on the precise strength of percentile or breaking stress.…”
