Accelerated expansion from cosmological holography

Abstract: It is shown that holographic cosmology implies an evolving Hubble radius c −1Ṙ H = −1 + 3Ω m in the presence of a dimensionless matter density Ω m scaled to the closure density 3H 2 /8πG, where c denotes the velocity of light and H and G denote the Hubble parameter and Newton's constant. It reveals a dynamical dark energy and a sixfold increase in gravitational attraction to matter on the scale of the Hubble acceleration. It reproduces the transition redshift z t ≃ 0.4 to the present epoch of accelerated expan… Show more

“…Here, Q 0 2.5 [12] is representative a near-extremal value of H(z) today. The associated relatively high estimate of H 0 from the cosmological data {z k , H(z k )} is free of tension with H 0 = 73.24 ± 1.74km s −1 Mpc −1 obtained from surveys of the Local Universe, providing quantitative support for a dynamic dark energy (8 …”

“…This mechanism also explains why a 0 ∼ cH 0 as already noted by Milgrom (1983a). I also note that a similar approach has been discussed by van Putten (2014) in the specific context of de-Sitter space (but see also van Putten 2015).…”

“…This may be an attractive consequence regarding the swampland criteria on cosmology [103]. Although different scenarios with variable cosmological constant have been proposed beyond ΛCDM [104][105][106][107][108], diffusion provides a rich phenomenology dispensing from additional fields and higher-curvature corrections to the Einstein-Hilbert action.…”
