For this study, we used data of hypertension based on the previous JNC7 criteria (SBP ≥140 mmHg or DBP ≥90 mmHg) [56], moreover most studies did not report details of the BP measurement methods and standard conditions, which could affect the accuracy and validity of results; hence, caution should be considered to interpret findings.
