Academic Writing in Russia: The Urge for Interdisciplinary Studies

Abstract

Аннотация. Обсуждение темы академического письма, идущее на страницах журнала семь лет, началось с анализа проблемы качества подготовки исследователей, но затем акцент сместился в сторону преподавания академического английского языка, что сузило спектр обсуждаемых проблем. Академическое письмо-обширная область исследований, направленных на решение проблем образования и науки в целом, поэтому их нельзя ограничить рамками прикладных задач, а тем более языковых программ. Анализ публикаций позволяет заключить, что дискуссия должна вернуться в русло междисциплинарного обсуждения, что, в свою очередь, требует осознания российским академическим сообществом значимости академического письма как самостоятельной дисциплины и новой для российского, но не для международного академического сообщества, отрасли научно-педагогических исследований. В статье анализируются проблемы, препятствующие этому осознанию, обусловленные историческими и социокультурными факторами. Опираясь на результаты исследования, автор делает вывод о необходимости создания теоретических и методологических основ академического письма, разработки программ письма и механизмов поэтапного введения этих программ в российское высшее образование, для чего нужны комплексные междисциплинарные исследования и консолидация российского академического сообщества.
