“…La educación superior, por su parte, surge como un escenario crítico para el perfeccionamiento de las habilidades lectoras (Shanahan, 2008;Catts, et al, 2005;Pommiez, 2021) donde la aptitud para analizar, sintetizar e interpretar textos complejos y diversos recursos informativos no son sólo fundamentales para el acceso a información especializada, sino también en la participación activa en discusiones académicas. Asimismo, se ha observado que estas habilidades influyen en el rendimiento estudiantil y el desarrollo profesional, como han indicado varios autores recientes (Cáceres, et al, 2018;Keefe & Copeland, 2019;Afdal, et al, 2023;Nouhi, et al, 2023). Sin embargo, a pesar de la estrecha conexión entre las habilidades lectoras y el contexto de estudios superiores, según (Pommiez et al, 2021;Barriga, 2019;Castañeda & García, 2020;González & Pérez, 2018), se han revelado deficiencias en la aplicación de estrategias de comprensión, falta de familiaridad con las estructuras y convenciones de los textos académicos, así como una baja frecuencia de lectura en estudiantes universitarios, considerándose solo una minoría como lectores frecuentes.…”
