Abstract:Analytic solutions are derived for the alternating current voltammetry (ACV) harmonic waveforms of electrodeposition reactions where the surface activity of a metal species is constant. Reversible and quasi- reversible charge transfer kinetics are considered, as well as the effects of ohmic drop and double layer charging. It is shown that ohmic drop produces a characteristic distortion of the waveform envelopes, resulting in the emergence of waveform extrema in the higher harmonics that are distinct from those… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
