Abstract: Introduction: First-pass effect (FPE) is associated with improved clinical outcomes and reduced mortality in mechanical thrombectomy (MT) for large vessel occlusion strokes (LVOS). However, FPE is achieved in only 30-40% of patients with the current devices.
