Abstract: Lynch syndrome (LS), an inherited predisposition syndrome associated with an increased risk of colorectal, endometrial, and other cancers, is characterized by germline mutations in mismatch repair pathway genes, which typically lead to microsatellite instability (MSI) in the resulting tumors.
