Abstract: Introduction: Osteoarthritis is a growingly common joint disorder affecting older adults. It is characterized by chronic low-grade inflammation, a phenomenon by itself considered a cardiovascular risk factor. However, data on its potential impact on cardiovascular disease (CVD) is scarce.
