Abstract:Background: The incidence rates of breast cancer in developed countries increased between 1980 and 1990 due to use of breast cancer screening and lifestyle changes. Since 2000, however, breast cancer incidence has decreased in these areas, which is possibly attributed to less exposure to hormone replacement therapy.
