Abstract of Revision for JIS A 5308 (Ready-mixed Concrete)

Abstract

SynopsisThe Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) of Ready-mixed Concrete was lately revised, in accordance with Article 15 of the Industrial Standardization Law of Japan, after a lapse of five years from the preceding revision. The gist of the revision is to make the JIS take account of environmental effects of the concrete as well as to promote the information disclosure at purchasers' point of view. In other words, it is the purpose of the present revision to prepare an industrial standard of the ready-mixed concrete that takes account of utilization of recycled concrete aggregate for class-H concrete, promotion of standardization of the ready-mixed concrete with consideration to the environment by utilization of recycled aggregate for concrete-class H, promotion of use of sludge water, and expansion of the scope of applications of the adhesion mortar. In addition, it was stipulated to disclose formulations of the concrete as an item to be entered in the concrete deliv ery statement and also to deliver weighing records and average weight of the concrete loaded on trucks if requested by pur chasers of the concrete after delivery of the concrete.
