Abstract: Triple-negative breast cancers (TNBC: negative for oestrogen-receptor, progesterone-receptor and human-epidermal-growth-factor receptor 2 [HER2]) account for 15-20% of breast cancers and are characterized by an extremely aggressive phenotype.
