Abstract:Impacts of genetic and nongenetic intratumor heterogeneity (ITH) on tumor phenotypes and evolvability remain debated. We analyzed ITH in lung squamous cell carcinoma at the levels of genome, transcriptome, tumor-immune interactions, and histopathologic characteristics by multiregion bulk and single-cell sequencing. Genomic heterogeneity alone was a weak indicator of intratumor nongenetic heterogeneity at immune and transcriptomic levels that impacted multiple cancer-related pathways, including those related to… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
