Abstract: Background: The chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) tumor microenvironment (TME) is laden with hyporesponsive T-cells that permit disease persistence. Yet, redundant TME immunosuppressive mechanisms and epigenetic maintenance of T-cell exhaustion limit the efficacy of T-cell targeted therapies in CLL.
