Abstract 5925: Prevalence of clonal hematopoiesis in patients with monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance

Abstract: INTRODUCTION: Clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP) is defined by the expansion of progeny derived from hematopoietic stem cells that have acquired somatic mutations at a VAF greater than 2%. CHIP manifests in 10% of patients older than 65 and is associated with an increased risk of progression to malignancies such as the MDS or AML.
