Abstract: The influence of genetics on atherosclerosis development remains unclear. Association of single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) with early-onset coronary artery disease (EOCAD), as well as with carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT), and systemic microvascular reactivity was examined in 52 patients with EOCAD (45 ±3 years old) and 35 age-matched controls.
