Abstract:Objective:
Abundant evidence has demonstrated the profound influence of genetic background on cardiovascular phenotypes. Previous work in the mouse has shown that genetic background-related variations in murine models of Marfan syndrome affect thoracic aortic aneurysm formation, rupture, and lifespan of mice. Marfan syndrome mice in the C57Bl/6 genetic background are less susceptible to aneurysm formation compared to 129/SvEv mice. In this study, we hypothesize that the susceptibility to the develo… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
