Abstract:Introduction: Muscular Invasive Bladder Cancer (MIBC) is a highly heterogeneous disease. A consensus classification, based on gene expression profiling, has identified six MIBC subgroups, ranging from basal/squamous (Ba/Sq) to luminal papillary (LumP). This classification is a static representation of the disease and does not account for cellular plasticity, which may induce phenotype switch and cancer progression. Here, we aimed at identifying factors involved in cellular plasticity using bladder cancer patie… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
