Abstract: Background: Upregulation of lipid synthesis has been associated with poor clinical outcomes in colorectal cancer (CRC). Fatty acid synthase (FASN) synthesizes 16-carbon fatty acid palmitate which can be utilized for post-translational modifications of various proteins.
