Abstract: Objective: Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is a disease characterized by inflammatory cell infiltration and extracellular matrix (ECM) degradation. Damage to the ECM results in release of elastin-derived peptides (EDPs). EDPs recruit inflammatory cells and may influence macrophage polarization.
