Abstract:Clear cell ovarian and kidney cancers are rare but aggressive cancers characterized by resistance to traditional chemotherapies. The transcriptional drivers of these tumors are poorly understood, but the histologic similarities suggest that a subset of common factors may drive differentiation of the clear cell phenotype, agnostic of anatomic origin. Master transcription factors (MTFs) are the essential transcriptional regulators that create interconnected auto-regulatory circuits critical for tumor cell surviv… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
