Abstract:Rho GTPases contribute to most steps of cancer initiation and progression, including the acquisition of unlimited proliferation potential, survival, tissue invasion and the establishment of metastases. By contrast to RhoA and RhoC, RhoB has been proposed to act as a tumor suppressor as it is activated in response to various stresses including UV exposure, and since it has been reported to inhibit tumor growth, cell migration and invasion. Unlike RhoA and RhoC, RhoB is often down regulated in human tumour tissu… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
