Abstract: Gastric cancer (GC) is one of the most common cancers and one of the leading causes of cancer related death worldwide. Although the treatment of GC patients has improved during the last decades, thanks to advancements in surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, the long-term survival rates of patients with GC remains around 20%.
