Abstract: Introduction: NEDD4 (neural precursor cell-expressed developmentally down-regulated 4), a member of the HECT (homologous to E6AP C-terminus) family of E3 ubiquitin ligases, has been shown to be an important regulator of multiple proteins involved in cancer development, including the tumor suppressor PTEN and the proto-oncogene MDM2.
