Abstract: NADPH oxidase-derived reactive oxygen species (ROS) contribute to the pathobiology of vascular disease. However, studies investigating NADPH oxidases in atherosclerosis have been limited in their ability to distinguish between the role of vascular cell and inflammatory cell -derived ROS.
