Absorptiometric Method for Determination of Cesium

Abstract: A new method is described for the indirect determination of cesium by precipitation with excess tungstosilicic acid, with subsequent development of a heteropoly blue color from the excess precipitant. The effects of several variables on the precipitation reaction and the color development were determined and optimum conditions were ascertained.
