Absorbable sutures for cardiopulmonary bypass purse strings in pediatric heart surgery

Abstract: Background: Absorbable sutures, commonly used in general surgery, are not routinely used as purse strings for arterial and venous cannulation for cardiopulmonary bypass in pediatric heart surgery.
