Absenteeism Due to Mental Disorders in Agents Fighting Endemic Diseases in Ceará/Northeast Brazil

Abstract

The results of this research are relevant for occupational health, as it have demonstrated longer periods of disability in mood disorders and alcohol-related disorders. Especially in workers who have been chronically exposed to insecticides. This study is able to contribute to new attitudes to face absenteeism by mental disorders.
