Abridgment of condenser-type bushing: Used with synchronizing equipment

Abstract: Synopsis.-This paper describes apparatus recently developed for utilizing the charging current of a condenser bushing in operating a synchronoscope, thus making a simple and inexpensive method of synchronizing at high voltage. Data are given also covering the operation of the device for different conditions of frequency, voltage, etc., thus assisting in the consideration of the adaptability of the device to other applications. An account of the first installation in the field is also given.
