AB1193 Usage Pattern of Concomitant Therapy with Biological Dmards in Chinese Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis: A Multi-Center Cross-Sectional Study

Abstract: BackgroundBiological disease modifying antirheumatic drugs (bDMARDs) are frequently used in combination with other drugs. Very limited data are available on concomitant therapy with bDMARDs in China.ObjectivesTo investigate the usage patterns and safety of concomitant drugs in Chinese RA patients receiving bDMARDs.MethodsPatients from 15 Chinese hospitals were recruited in this cross-sectional study. Consenting patients (aged ≥18 years) diagnosed with RA receiving bDMARDs were included.ResultsData collected fr… Show more

“…Regardless of the length of the disease, early effective treatment of RA could reduce the disability, control disease activity, and prevent and delay the patient's condition (55,56). Studies have shown that the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, The above data represent the confidence interval.…”

“…At present, the pathogenesis of RA is not fully understood, and it might be related to autoimmunity, infection, and heredity ( 54 ). Regardless of the length of the disease, early effective treatment of RA could reduce the disability, control disease activity, and prevent and delay the patient’s condition ( 55 , 56 ). Studies have shown that the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, DMARDs, and steroid would cause serious side effects, and drug resistance in some patients, which may seriously reduce the therapeutic effect ( 57 ).…”

“…At present, the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis is not fully understood, which may be related to autoimmune factors, infection and heredity [20] . No matter the duration of the disease, early and effective treatment of RA patients can reduce their disability rate, control the disease activity of patients, help to prevent and delay the disease of patients, and is also the key to the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis [21,22] . Clinical observation found that non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, anti-rheumatic drugs and steroid drugs and other drugs in the use process, in addition to toxic side effects, but also showed a gradual failure trend, and some patients will develop drug resistance, seriously reducing the therapeutic effect [23] .…”
