AB0097 V667m, a1330v and n740n polymorphisms in lrp5 gene are associated with bone mineral density and bone metabolism in established rheumatoid arthritis patients
Abstract:Background
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is characterized by a localized bone resorption at the hands, namely, and generalized osteoporosis. LRP5 gene is related to rare metabolic bone diseases and several LRP5 polymorphisms have been associated with bone mineral density (BMD) in healthy populations.
Objectives
To determine the association of three LRP5 gene polymorphisms with bone density and metabolism in patients with established rheumatoid arthritis (RA)
Methods
Clinical features and peripheral blood samples… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
