Abstract: Background Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) is a chronic, debilitating collection of diseases with significant impairment to patient quality of life and hospital burden. Patients with acute flare of their disease are managed with IV corticosteroids and ultimately transitioned to an oral equivalent.
