Abstract:Background
The interaction between cells and extracellular matrix components like laminin or elastin is a crucial step in cancer development and the metastasis process. The 67 kDa Laminin Receptor (67LR) was one of the first cell surface receptors for laminin to be discovered in the 1980s. The 67LR has been reported to be the cytoplasmic 37 kDa small ribosomal subunit protein RPSA (40S ribosomal protein SA) combined with another yet to be identified component to become the 67 kDa membrane rec… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
