A Zn(II)-Based Coordination Polymer Featuring Selective Detection of Fe3+ and Efficient Capture of Anionic Dyes

Abstract: In virtue of the dual-ligand strategy, a novel Zn(II)organic coordination polymer [Zn(tipb)(bpda) 0.5 •(OH)] n (1) (tipb = 1,3,5-tris(p-imidazolylphenyl)benzene, H 2 bpda = 4,4′biphenyldicarboxylic acid) has been successfully constructed with a N-donor tridentate ligand and an O-containing linear linker. In compound 1, a double-layer network is fabricated wherein adjacent Zn-tipb layers are pillared by bpda 2− . Mutual interpenetration of the parallel layers further generates a 3D cationic supramolecular archi… Show more

“…In Sb 4 O 5 SO 4 , it is nearly transparent in the range 4000–1500 cm –1 . For Sb 4 O 4 (SO 4 )(OH) 2 , the absorption bands around 3418 and 1623 cm –1 are due to the characteristic peaks of O–H, which verify the existence of −OH groups. In addition, for both compounds, the bands centered at 1180, 1055, and 950 cm –1 are attributed to the asymmetrical and symmetrical stretch vibrations of SO 4 units. The bands around 640, 590, 500, and 430 cm –1 are related to the Sb–O vibrations. ,− The assignments are in accordance with the crystallographic analyses.…”

“…The 3D supramolecular structure can be simplified to pcu topology (Fig. 1e) [34][35][36]. Satisfactorily, EISA method promoted the MOC crystals growth on the surface of the melamine foam (Figure S1a and S1b) and obtained the MOC@MF composite (Figure S1c).…”

“…The further coordination of two such dinuclear units [Eu 2 (μ 2 -COO) 2 (COO) 2 ] and the [ndp] 4− ligands adopted μ 6 -bridging and μ 7 -bridging modes makes a 3D skeleton. Interestingly, as shown in Figure 2a From the viewpoints of topology, the dinuclear units {Eu 1 2 } and {Eu 2 2 } act as 6-connected nodes (Figure 3a and b), and the ligands with two kinds of coordination modes are act as 4connected nodes (Figure 3c and d); thus, compound 2 is represented as an binodal (3,6)-connected network and its point symbol is {4 3 .6 3 } 2 {4 4 .6 10 .8}{4 4 .6 2 }{4 6 .6 6 .8 3 } (Figure 4).…”

“…In fact, various detection methods have been explored for harmful substances, such as luminescent chemosensors, chromatography, and atomic absorption spectrometry. Compared with other traditional methods, chemical probes built on luminescent metal–organic frameworks (LMOFs) have attracted extensive attention due to their advantages of fast response and facile operation. During the last few decades, large amounts of LMOFs for sensitive detection have been developed for multiple analytes. What is noteworthy is that metal–organic frameworks centered around Ln(III) (Ln-MOFs), especially Eu 3+ and Tb 3+ compounds, possessing significant merits including large Stokes shift, long lifetimes, high quantum yields, and strong characteristic emission, have been regarded as potential luminescent probes. …”
