that device, while use of a reference channel monitoring the dye laser fluctuations would further improve system performance. With these modifications to our apparatus, measurement of induced absorption of 10"' or less is very feasible. Under these conditions, the detection limits of ac-coupled inverse Raman spectrometry should be equal to or better than those obtainable by spontaneous Raman spectrometry.
