“…This study presents the formation of heterostructures consisting of copper oxide nanocubes (NCs) wrapping noble metal nanoparticles (Au/Ag/Pd–Cu 2 O HSs) by microwave-assisted synthesis. Most synthetic methods for the Au–Cu 2 O HSs follow a multistep seed-mediated approach. Here, the two-step microwave-assisted fabrication of these HSs benefits from the MW selectivity, and importantly, the overall time of this synthesis route is less than 40 min. First, metal NPs are synthesized through a polyol approach, and these NPs serve as nucleation seeds for a cubic Cu 2 O wrapping.…”
