A value-based approach to smoking prevention with immigrants from Latin America: philosophy and program description

Abstract: The article describes a value-based approach to smoking prevention. This approach was implemented in a program with immigrants from Latin America in Canada. The approach is based on the values of participatory community planning and sensitivity to cultural diversity, and on a comprehensive philosophy of health.
