A Two-Layer Active Disturbance Rejection Controller Design for Load Frequency Control of Interconnected Power System

Abstract: This letter proposes a two-layer active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) method with the compensation of estimated equivalent input disturbances (EID) for load frequency control (LFC) of multi-area interconnected power system. This method has a capability of rejecting the effects of random load variations and parameter uncertainties, and guaranteeing high dynamic performance.
