Follow-up experiments are warranted to confirm that the other 9 uncharacterized ESTs (MCG42, MCG32, MCG41, MCG37, MCG39, MCG49, MCG61, MCG30, and MCG27) represent additional novel genes and not exons of a neighboring gene or artifacts such as genomic contamination of the cDNA library.…”
