A TOPSIS method based on intuitionistic fuzzy values: a case study of North African airports

Abstract: In this paper we develop a fuzzy TOPSIS method based on intuitionistic fuzzy values to solve multiple criteria decision making problems in which the performance rating of alternatives values and the weights of criteria are given by linguistic terms. Arithmetic operations between intuitionistic fuzzy values are used for normalizing imprecise ratings and weights of criteria. In order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the suggested method, we propose a case study aiming to evaluate and compare the service quali… Show more

“…Meanwhile, intuitionistic fuzzy was introduced in [5] which is an extension of the fuzzy set. In previous studies, the intuitionistic fuzzy topsis method was introduced by [6], [7], [8], [9]. In this research, we will use the intuitionistic fuzzy topsis method to get the learning platforms used by students majoring in Mathematics 2017-2019 during the Covid-19 pandemic based on certain criteria.…”

“…Büyüközkan and Göçer used the IF-TOPSIS method to support the evaluation and selection process of the most appropriate hazardous waste transportation company [20]. Tlig and Rebai have proposed a fuzzy TOPSIS method based on intuitionistic fuzzy values to evaluate and compare the service quality of the five largest airports in North Africa [21].…”
