Abstract:In tone reservation (TR) methods, the high peak-toaverage power ratio (PAPR) of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signals is reduced through exploiting the reserved tones, i.e., peak-reduction tones (PRT), so as to manipulate the clipping noise generated from the soft limiter with predefined clipping threshold. In this work, from the leastsquares perspective, the PRT are designed with linear operation only and a corresponding clipping threshold is proposed by a simple closed-form formula. Furth… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
