Abstract: Ulcerative colitis is a chronic-relapsing inflammatory disease of the large intestine with a complex, multifactorial pathogenesis. TNF inhibitors are widely used to suppress immune-mediated tissue damage in ulcerative colitis patients; however, therapy failures are common.
