A terpene cyclase from Aspergillus ustus is involved in the biosynthesis of geosmin precursor germacradienol

Abstract: This study reports a terpene cyclase responsible for germacradienol formation in the ascomycetous fungus Aspergillus ustus. Both in vivo and in vitro data are provided.
